Multimillion-dollar refit for Butterfield Somerset
Butterfield has reopened its Somerset Banking Centre at 45 Mangrove Bay Road following a multi-million-dollar investment in its full renovation.
The bank said in a statement that the changes enhance the customer experience: “The Somerset Banking Centre provides a welcoming, comfortable and convenient environment for all clients, featuring a new accessible entrance, four teller stations with one dedicated to seniors.”
There is bench seating, an electronic queuing system and an ATM vestibule, which includes a no-wait deposit facility that is accessible 24 hours a day.
The statement explained: “Clients who need to visit the Somerset Banking Centre can join the queue by simply scanning the QR code located outside the Banking Centre entrance.”
Clients are provided with a queue position directly to their mobile device. Once in the queue, they will receive a direct notification to alert them when they are to be served.
Shawnette Griffin, Butterfield’s head of retail banking in Bermuda said: “We are delighted to welcome clients back to our Somerset Banking Centre. At Butterfield, we believe in the importance of putting real relationships and real people at the heart of our business and continue to invest in all of our historic Banking centres. This latest renovation reflects our ongoing commitment to the local community and wider economy.”
