Shares of Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd took off in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.BAS gained 40 cents, or 36.4 per cent on the trading of 1,000 shares.The only other issue to trade was Butterfield Bank, which remained unchanged on $25 as 699 shares changed hands.Butterfield’s US-listed shares surged $1.28, or 5.25 per cent, to close at $25.68 on the New York Stock Exchange as 141,559 shares were traded.The Royal Gazette/BSX Index edged higher by 1.86 points, or 0.1 per cent, to close on 1,847.45.The BSX Insurance Index added 12.12 points, or 0.83 per cent, to close on 1,469.03.
