Butterfield Bank rose 12.5 percent (15 cents) to $1.35 on The Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.The bank traded 750 shares during the day.Meanwhile Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. also climbed one percent (10 cents) to $9.85, with 1,862,820 shares changing hands.Argus Group Holdings Ltd. inched up 0.9 percent (five cents) to $5.55, as 100 shares were transacted.Other traders included KeyTech Ltd. and the Ascendant Group Ltd., which traded 1,516 and 586 shares respectively, but both of their share prices held firm.Overall the Index advanced 73.17 points (6.5 percent) to 1,198.22, with 1,865,772 shares worth $18,369,589.80 changing hands.The BSX Insurance Index, however, dropped five points (0.49 percent) to 1,015.
