Butterfield Bank’s common shares dropped 2.3 percent (three cents) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.The bank traded 201,700 shares to close at $1.38. It also saw 13 preference shares change hands, but their share price held firm at $1,225.Also in the banking sector, Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd transacted 2,050 shares, however its share value remained unchanged at $10.75.BF&M Ltd, meanwhile, traded 700 shares, but also opened and closed at $14.60.Overall the Index fell 14.35 points (1.26 percent) to 1,126.54 with 204,450 shares worth BD$288,469 and 513 shares worth US$21,286.44 changing hands.The BSX Insurance Index, however, climbed three points (0.3 percent) to 1,013.
