BSX officials visit BVI

The Bermuda Stock Exchange visited the British Virgin Islands this week to tell the financial services community about the operation of the exchange.Greg Wojciechowski, the BSX’s CEO, and James McKirdy, chief compliance officer, made the presentation to a crowd of about 50 at the Treasure Isle Hotel.Mr Wojciechowski said the purpose of the visit was to thank Virgin Islands’ firms for the business they were already doing with the BSX. The exchange currently lists 69 Virgin Islands-registered funds and four debt issuances, he said, adding that he believes the two offshore financial centres can do more business together.
