Africa Minerals lists notes on BSX

The Listing Committee of the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) has announced the approval of the listing of African Minerals (UK) Ltd notes due on February 12, 2013.The notes constitute a $500 million dollar issuance under the BSX’s restricted marketing provisions for qualified investors and section five of the Exchange’s listing regulations for international issuers of insurance-related securities.African Minerals is a limited liability company incorporated under the laws of England and Wales. The proceeds of the note programme will be used to finance costs and expenses associated with the Tonkolili iron ore project.Harbour Financial Services Ltd sponsored the listing and has also been appointed as the ongoing listing sponsor.James McKirdy, chief compliance officer of the BSX, said: “This is yet another issuance of notes that have taken advantage of the Exchange’s listing regulations for debt securities and we are extremely pleased to be working with African Minerals (UK) Ltd, and Harbour Financial Services Ltd.”Simon Benedek, of Harbour Financial Services, said: “The co-operation and assistance of the BSX officers made it a very smooth exercise.”
