Devonshire falls

Devonshire Industries was the biggest mover on the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) last week.The company, which owns Bermuda Paint, dropped 33.3 percent ($3) to close at $6 with 1,900 shares traded.Meanwhile the Ascendant Group Ltd also declined 1.7 percent (25 cents) to $14.25 as 700 shares changed hands, and KeyTech Ltd also slipped 0.8 percent (five cents) to $6.10 with 2,600 shares transacted.But Argus Group Holdings Ltd rose 5.3 percent (25 cents) to $5 as 10,300 shares were traded, and Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd was up 2.3 percent (25 cents) at $11 as 100 shares changed hands.West Hamilton Holdings Ltd also climbed 0.1 percent (one cent) to $7.66 with 1,500 shares transacted.Other traders included Butterfield Bank (11,100 shares) and BF&M Ltd (100 shares), but their share values held firm at $1.39 and $14.60 respectively.Overall the Index advanced 1.85 points (0.15 percent) to 1,192.49 with 28,300 shares worth BD$118,012 and 7,823 shares worth US$79,496.15 changing hands.The BSX Insurance Index also increased three points (0.3 percent) to 987.
