Shares in Bermuda Aviation Services rose nearly 3 percent on the Bermuda Stock Exchange yesterday, the same day it reported net earnings for the six months through September (see story page 29).A thousand shares traded, rising 10 cents to close at $3.50.Butterfield Bank shares also traded, on a volume of 400, closing down a cent to end the day at $1.16.Two-thousand shares in Ascendant Group also traded, ending the day unchanged at $13.25.Overall the BSX was down 4.31, or 0.40 percent, at 1,059.69.The BSX Insurance Index closed down 7.00 or 0.70 percent at 1006.00.
