Ascendant falls, paint company rises 18.4%

Devonshire Industries jumped 70 cents (18.42 percent) on the Bermuda Stock Exchange yesterday, trading 2,000 shares to close at $4.50.Butterfield also rose, by three cents (2.3 percent), trading 53,000 shares to close at $1.33.BF&M tumbled 73 cents (4.64 percent) with 100 shares trading to close at $15.Ascendant Group also fell 37 cents (2.7 percent) with 200 shares trading to close at $13.30.Bermuda Commercial Bank closed unchanged at $11, as 300 shares tradedOverall, the BSX closed at 1,109.78, up 6.22 points (.56 percent), with 55,600 shares trading worth $86,644.
