Butterfield closed up one cent at $1.23 as 1,200 of the bank’s shares changed hands on the Bermuda Stock Exchange yesterday.Overall the BSX ended up 4.74, or 0.44 percent, at 1,077.44.The BSX Insurance Index also rose, 24.00, or 2.34, to finish the day at 1049.00.
