Insurer BF&M Ltd surged 2.9 percent on very low volume yesterday, helping The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) Index rise.BF&M gained 45 cents to close the day on $16 as 140 shares traded. The company was the sole domestic-board company to trade.The index rose 3.11 points, or 0.29 percent, to close on 1,074.75.
