Quiet end to the BSX year

Butterfield Bank was the only company to trade on the Bermuda Stock Exchange on New Year’s Eve.
The BSX, which was closed yesterday for the New Year’s Day holiday, closed 2013 with The Royal Gazette/BSX Index at 1,201.05 — up about 15 percent from a year earlier. On Tuesday, the index was unchanged.
Butterfield remained unchanged on $1.49 as 1,200 of its shares traded.
