A total of 37,215 shares worth $158,060 changed hands on The Royal Gazette/BSX today.

Bank of Butterfield saw 30,000 of its shares sell and closed one cent (0.5 per cent) up at $2.

Somers Ltd, which includes the Bermuda Commercial Bank among its holdings, had 7300 shares move, leaving its shares 50 cents (3.6 per cent) up at $14.25.

And Ascendant Group, parent of power firm Belco, finished the day down 40 cents (7.4 per cent) at $5 a share, a 52 week low.

The Royal Gazette/BSX closed at 1355.37, up 4.24 points (0.31 per cent)).

The BSX Insurance Index stood at 1545.77, up 12.28 points (0.8 per cent).
