The Royal Gazette/BSX plunged 67.46 points, or 5.54 per cent, to 1,150.78.

The Bank of Butterfield dropped 15 cents, or 8.5 per cent, to $1.60 after 32,616 shares traded.

Insurance firm Argus fell 19 cents, or 4.7 per cent, to $3.85 after 200 shares changed hands.

Polaris Holdings went up $1.39, or 44.6 per cent, to $4.50 after 1,200 shares moved.

And utilities firm Ascendant lost 20 cents, falling 4.2 per cent to $4.50, after 1,300 shares sold.

The BSX Insurance Index fell 14.78 points or 0.89 per cent to 1,645.41.
