PartnerRe delists from BSX

Quiet day: Butterfield Bank and BF&M traded on the BSX

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed unchanged at 1,187.80.

The Bank of Butterfield was unchanged at $1.67 after 1,600 shares traded.

Insurance company BF&M Ltd was also unchanged at $16.90 after 59 shares moved.

The BSX Insurance Index was down 151.07 points, or 8.86 per cent, to 1,554.88.

The BSX yesterday announced that reinsurance firm PartnerRe had withdrawn its listing.

The company has been acquired by Italian investment giant Exor.

The BSX said its listing committee had waived the normally required 60-day notice period due to the specific circumstances of the acquisition.
