The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 1.95 points, or 0.17 per cent, at 1,174.

Insurer BF&M was up 10 cents to $17.10 after 6,400 shares changed hands.

Telecoms firm KeyTech also rose 10 cents to $2.65 after 11,000 shares moved.

Utilities company Ascendant Group dropped two cents to $5.03 after 13,500 shares sold.

The Bank of Butterfield was unchanged at $1.62 after 30,100 shares traded.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 1.16 points, or 0.07 per cent, at 1,623.25.
