BSX climbs 101 points

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index today rose 101.20 points to 1,737.13 on a huge move higher for Butterfield Bank — though on very low volume.
The index’s 6.2 per cent rise came as Butterfield jumped by $2.25, or 9 per cent, to $27.25 after 800 shares changed hands.
The bank’s price on the New York Stock Exchange dropped 13 cents or 0.45 per cent to $28.60.
BF&M was static at $19.90 after 2,000 shares traded.
The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 8.07 points, or 0.47 per cent, at 1,710.04.
