Butterfield shares fall 1.7%

Down day: The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell with Butterfield Bank shares
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index today closed down 22.04 points, or 1.22 per cent, at 1,778.77.
The sole trading of the day was in Bank of Butterfield shares, whose price dropped 49 cents, or 1.7 per cent, to $28 after 9,811 shares moved.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s price dropped 47 cents, or 1.62 per cent, to $28.55.
The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 14.27 points, or 0.82 per cent, at 1,745.27.
