The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed unchanged at 1,986.55.

A total of seven shares in the Bank of Butterfield sold, leaving its price unchanged at $32.50.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank shed 16 cents, or 0.48 per cent, to $32.98.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 2.12 points, or 0.11 per cent, at 1,845.24.
