Butterfield shares gain 1.6%

Butterfield shares helped The Royal Gazette/BSX Index climb
Bank of Butterfield shares today rose 50 cents to close on $32 in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.
The 1.6 per cent gain came as 3,600 shares traded.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s shares gained 16 cents, or 0.5 per cent, to close on $31.91.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 22.52 points, or 1.16 per cent, at 1,968.21.
