Bank of Butterfield saw 192 shares change hands with its price remaining at $31.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank dropped 49 cents, or 1.52 per cent, to $31.96.

Telecoms firm One Communications stayed at $2.75 after 102 shares traded.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 8.78 points, or 0.47 per cent, at 1,840.96.
