Butterfield shares rise 3.2%

Butterfield boost: the bank's shares helped to lift The Royal Gazette/BSX Index by nearly 45 points
The Bank of Butterfield today rose $1 to $32 in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.
The 3.2 per cent rise came as 1,069 shares traded.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank was also up — 56 cents, or 1.7 per cent, to $33.54.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 44.98 points, or 2.34 per cent, at 1,966.07.
The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 15.02 points, or 0.79 per cent, at 1,922.70.
