The Bank of Butterfield shares lost 13 cents, or 0.37 per cent, to close at $34.93 on the New York Stock Exchange.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed unchanged at 2,079.24 after a day of no trading.
The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 5.62 points, or 0.29 per cent, at 1,919.77.
