Butterfield Bank shares were 50 cents higher, or 1.4 per cent, at $35.50 after 2,111 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s shares were one cent higher, or 0.03 per cent, at $35.82.

On the local exchange, 2,000 shares of One Communications, 1,000 shares of Argus Group, and 900 shares of Devonshire Industries also changed hands, but with no impact to the respective closing prices.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 22.49 points, or 1.08 per cent, to close at 2,111.9.

The BSX Insurance Index was up 25.50 points, or 1.32 per cent, at 1,950.06.
