Shares of Butterfield Bank improved by 25 cents, or 0.7 per cent, to $37.25 after 206 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

On the New York Stock Exchange the bank’s shares were up 35 cents, or 0.93 per cent, at $37.85.

Meanwhile, on the local exchange, shares of BF&M Ltd were down 45 cents, or 2.6 per cent, at $16.55 after 400 were exchanged.

And a total of 21,000 shares of One Communications Ltd changed hands, but with no impact on the closing price.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 7.8 points, or 0.36 per cent, at 2,184.79.

The BSX Insurance Index was down 11.3 points, or 0.63 per cent, at 1,792.92.
