Butterfield Bank shares fell by 50 cents, or 1.1 per cent, to close at $43.50 after 10,656 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

However, on the New York Stock Exchange the bank’s shares were up 49 cents, or 1.1 per cent, at $44.87

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was down 22.49 points, or 0.9 per cent, at 2,471.94. The BSX Insurance Index was down 22.07 points, or 1.16 per cent, at 1,880.23.
