Butterfield shares fall on BSX and gain in New York

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell 69.08 points
Shares of Butterfield Bank fell 2 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading today. The bank fell $1.20 to close on $58.30, as 2,200 shares traded.
With Butterfield the only stock to trade, The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell 69.08 points, or 1.8 per cent, to close on 3,759.4. BSX trading turnover totalled $128,260.
For the week, the index gained 8.64 points, or 0.22 per cent. Over the five trading days, Butterfield, which gained 0.3 per cent, was the only stock to trade. A total of 5,735 of the bank’s shares changed hands, generating turnover of $335,395.25.
Meanwhile, Butterfield’s US-listed shares gained 56 cents, or 0.92 per cent, to close at $61.53 on the New York Stock Exchange today on volume of 226,836 shares.
