Butterfield shares fall 3.4% in New York

There were no trades on the Bermuda Stock Exchange
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed where it started at 2,575.3 after a day of no trades on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
Butterfield Bank’s New York-listed shares dipped $1.56, or 3.4 per cent, to $43.74 amid a sell-off on Wall Street. Butterfield’s BSX-listed shares remained at $46.
The BSX Insurance Index fell 29.62 points, or 1.6 per cent, to close on 1,869.17.
