Butterfield shares up 0.5%

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index ended the day 11.24 points higher at 2,654.04
Shares of Butterfield Bank rose by 25 cents, or 0.5 per cent, to $47.75 after 1,300 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
On the New York Stock Exchange, Butterfield’s shares were down nine cents, or 0.19 per cent, at $48.53.
On the local exchange, 600 shares of Ascendant Group Ltd traded with no change to the closing price of $10.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 11.24 points, or 0.43 per cent, at 2,654.04.
The BSX Insurance Index was down 1.16 points, or 0.06 per cent, at 1,885.63.
