BAS shares jump 34.4%

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 7.38 points at 2,875.84
Shares of Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd rose 55 cents, or 34.4 per cent to $2.15 after 100 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
Also improving was Ascendant Group, parent company of Belco, which was up 50 cents, or 3 per cent, at $17, after 3,000 shares changed hands.
HSBC Holdings fell by 20 cents, or 2.27 per cent, to $8.60 after 940 were exchanged. Meanwhile, 363 shares of Watlington Waterworks Ltd were traded but with no change to the closing price of $21.50.
On the New York Stock Exchange, Butterfield Bank shares were up 25 cents, or 0.49 per cent, at $51.68.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 7.38 points, or 0.26 per cent, at 2,875.84, while the BSX Insurance Index was down 2.34 points, or 0.15 per cent, at 1,592.78.
