Shares of Butterfield Bank were down 50 cents, or 1.64 per cent, at $30.03 on The New York Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, The Royal Gazette/BSX was unchanged at 1,939.5 points after no trades took place. The exchange closed early ahead of the holiday break.
The BSX Insurance Index was down 47.13 points, or 3.26 per cent, at 1,399.69.
