The BSX Insurance Index fell 6.05 points, or 0.37 per cent to close on 1,625.14.

Butterfield Bank’s US-listed shares fell $1.10, 0r 3.1 per cent, to close at $34.28 on the New York Stock Exchange. Butterfield’s previous trade on the BSX was $34.50.
