Shares of Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd gained 8.9 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.

BAS jumped nine cents to close on $1.10 as 333 shares changed hands.

The only other stock to trade was Ascendant Group Ltd, which remained unchanged on $30.25 as 400 shares traded.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained 0.42 of a point to close on 1,654.21. Trading volume totalled 1,733 shares, while turnover was $17,516.30.

The US-listed shares of Butterfield Bank fell $1.08, or 4.95 per cent, to close on $20.75 on the trading of 399,976 shares. The bank last traded at $21.50 on the BSX.

The BSX Insurance Index gained 11.13 points, or 0.99 per cent, to close on 1,139.26.
