Butterfield shares slide 3.8% on BSX

Shares of Butterfield Bank fell 3.8 per cent in Friday’s Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.
The bank dipped $1 to close on $25.50 as 328 shares changed hands.
Butterfield’s US-listed shares gained 61 cents, or 2.42 per cent to close on $25.84 on the New York Stock Exchange.
Insurer BF&M Ltd gained five cents, or 0.3 per cent, to close on $18.05, as 4,400 of its shares were traded.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell 44.59 points, or 2.35 per cent, to close on 1,853.88.
For the week, the index gained 1.19 per cent, driven by a 2 per cent gain for Butterfield and a 0.3 per cent rise for BF&M, offset by a 1.3 per cent drop for One Communications.
The BSX Insurance Index fell 45.48 points, or 3.21 per cent, to close on 1,372.89.
