HSBC shares fall 2.85% on BSX

More than quarter of a million dollars worth of HSBC Holdings shares traded on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
The bank’s shares, listed among the BSX’s international companies, fell 15 cents, or 2.85 per cent, to close on $5.10 as 50,445 shares changed hands.
None of the domestic-board stocks traded, leaving The Royal Gazette/BSX Index unchanged on 1,987.77.
On the New York Stock Exchange, Butterfield Bank’s US-listed shares gained 28 cents, or 0.9 per cent, to close on $31.33 on below-average volume of 82,668 shares.
Butterfield last traded at $30.10 on the BSX.
The BSX Insurance Index added 17.48 points, or 1.1 per cent, to close on 1,609.66.
