Butterfield shares edge 0.5% higher in New York

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed unchanged on 2,183.86 as no shares changed hands on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
Butterfield Bank’s US-listed shares climbed 19 cents, or 0.55 per cent, to close on $34.61 on the New York Stock Exchange, on above-average volume of 185,359 shares.
The bank last traded at $34 on the BSX.
The BSX Insurance Index fell 10.55 points, or 0.64 per cent, to close on 1,648.32.
