Butterfield Bank shares up 4.3%

Butterfield Bank shares improved $1.50, or 4.3 per cent, to $36.50 after 897 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s shares were down 28 cents, or 0.75 per cent, at $37.24.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 80.46 points, or 3.3 per cent, at 2,496.64, while the BSX Insurance Index was up 7.96 points, or 0.46 per cent, at 1,722.33.
