Butterfield shares up 3.2%

Butterfield Bank shares rose $1.19, or 3.2 per cent, to $38.19 after 271 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s shares were down $1.25, or 3.19 per cent, at $37.91.
On the local exchange there was trading in 400 shares of BF&M Ltd, but with no change to the closing price of $22.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 63.83 points, or 2.53 per cent, at 2,587.29, while the BSX Insurance Index was down 34.85 points, or 1.97 per cent, at 1,737.68.
