The RG/BSX Index fell 9.54 points (0.37 per cent) to close at 2,595.09.
The only stock trading for the day was Argus Group Holdings, finishing 40 cents lower at $6, after 10,600 shares changing hands.
Bank of Butterfield finished 82 cents higher (2.13 per cent) at $39.30 on the New York Stock Exchange.
