BSX in Tuesday rise

The RG/BSX Index rose 129.67 points (4.70 per cent) today to close at 2,888.85 on the Bermuda Stock Exchange based on the trading of shares of Butterfield and Allshores Ltd.
Five hundred shares of Butterfield changed hands, resulting in the price rising $2.30 (5.6 per cent) and closing at $43.50. The day also saw trading of 6,800 shares of Allshores Ltd. The price rose 10 cents to close at $16.50.
On the New York Stock Exchange, Butterfield Bank was up $1.26 (2.83 per cent) on the back of a positive earnings announcement, to end the day at $45.73.
