The RG/BSX Index plummeted 219.81 points (7.38 per cent) to close at 2,757.42.
Two thousand Allshores stocks changed hands to finish down 75 cents (4.3 per cent) ending at $16.76 on the Bermuda Stock Exchange. Butterfield Bank shares fell $3.80 (8.4 per cent) to close at $41.20.
Meanwhile Butterfield Bank finished up 92 cents (2.07 per cent) on the New York Stock Exchange to close at $45.30 after trading of 147,423 shares.
