The RG/BSX Index finished at 3,020.99, up 41.97 points, or 1.41 per cent.
Only Butterfield Bank saw activity on the Bermuda Stock Exchange, with 519 shares changing hands to close at $45.75 up 75 cents or 1.7 per cent.
The turnover for the day was $23,703.75.
Butterfield rose 60 cents, or 1.32 per cent, on the New York Stock Exchange to end the day at $46.56. The volume was 84,777.
