Butterfield shares rise 2% on BSX

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index rose 1.78 per cent
Butterfield Bank shares rose 2 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading today. The bank closed $1 higher at $51 on the trading of 15,201 shares.
The only other issuer to trade was Allshores. The insurer closed unchanged on $21.80, as 1,800 of its shares changed hands.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index rose 57.57 points, or 1.78 per cent, to close on 3,285.4. Share volume was 17,001 and turnover totalled $814,041.
The US-listed shares of Butterfield jumped $1.01, or nearly 2 per cent, to close at $51.81, on volume of 162,435 shares.
