Butterfield climbs 3.5% on BSX

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 115.14 points
Shares of Butterfield Bank surged 3.5 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading. The bank rose $2 to close at $59 on the trading of 1,500 shares.
Butterfield was the only stock to trade as The Royal Gazette/BSX Index climbed 115.14 points, or 3.3 per cent, to close at 3,796.55. BSX turnover totalled $88,500.
Butterfield’s US-listed shares retreated from their first close above $60 last Friday. The bank fell 82 cents, or 1.36 per cent, to close at $59.52 on the New York Stock Exchange on above-average volume of 213,435 shares.
