Carey Olsen Bermuda has appointed family law expert Honor Desmond-Tetlow as a senior consultant within its private client and dispute resolution teams.

Ms Desmond-Tetlow, who advises on all areas of matrimonial, family and child law and general civil litigation, has significant experience acting for high net worth clients, particularly in relation to difficult and contentious divorces and custody applications, the firm said.

A trained mediator and collaborative law practitioner, she has lived in Bermuda for the past 34 years. She is currently vice-chairwoman of the Collaborative Law Alliance of Bermuda and sits on the Coparenting Mediation Council of Bermuda.

Keith Robinson, Carey Olsen Bermuda partner, said: "Honor has tremendous experience and an exceptional reputation as a matrimonial, family and child law specialist and we are delighted to have her as part of the private client and dispute resolution teams at Carey Olsen Bermuda.

“The appointment also reflects the continued evolution of our offering as a full-service law firm and our private client team in particular, which spans trusts and estates, property, immigration and now family law.

“This expansion is indicative of the increase in family law-related instructions we are experiencing as a firm and Honor's wealth of expertise and knowledge in this area will be of great value to our clients."
