Police car crashes under investigation

An inquiry has been launched into two accidents involving police cars.

A police patrol car crashed into a wall on Middle Road, Devonshire on Sunday.

Both the wall and the car were damaged in the incident, which happened about 1.30am.

Earlier, a private car hit a fence after it pulled over as a police car overtook it.

The police car was said to be involved in an attempt to stop another vehicle.

The incident happened on North Shore Road, near Somers Hill Road, Hamilton Parish, on Saturday at about 8pm.

Police have appealed for witnesses to both crashes.
