Now that roadside sobriety breath testing is on the law books, make sure you, your friends and family can get home safely.
Here are some tips to help you make the responsible decision not to drive while impaired.
• Pre-order your taxi/transport home
• Use the bus service when possible
• Consider hiring a minibus with a group
• Four-wheel drivers • get driven home in your own vehicle via the HomeSafeBermuda service
• Use Cada's Let Us Drive free Friday night transport
• Ask a trusted and sober friend for a ride
• Share designated driver duties
• Give someone your keys when planning to drink to avoid temptation
• Spend the night at a friend's house
• Consider staying in a hotel or B&B
• Don't drink on an empty stomach
• Don't accept a ride with an impaired driver
• Stop a friend if they try to drive while impaired
• Pace yourself whether on alcohol or drugs
• You may still be over the limit in the morning
• Time is the only way to sober up, not coffee or food
