A woman suffered a serious arm injury yesterday after two cars were in collision.

The victim, who was driving an electric car, was trapped under the vehicle after the incident at the junction of Barkers Hill and Vesey Street, in Devonshire just after 2pm.

She was cut free by firefighters and taken by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The female driver of the other car was unhurt.

Police set up traffic diversions as the crash scene was analysed by accident investigators.
