100 Day Challenge nears 6,000 pounds lost
Almost 6,000 pounds have been shed during the first 70 days of the Live Healthy Bermuda 100 Day Challenge and organisers are sure the number will be surpassed by next week.
In order to lose this weight participants have walked 128,000 miles and logged more than 32,000 hours of activity.
But the numbers are flattening so organisers want to encourage everyone to get motivated for the last four weeks of the Challenge.
Terry Faulkenberry of Aspen Insurance, one of the organisers, said: "We are flattening out but I think we'll build again over the remaining weeks.
"With only four weeks to go, we want to encourage everyone to make this the best four weeks of the challenge.
"We are just shy of 6,000 pounds and we feel confident we will break that mark this week. Also, we have logged over 32,000 hours of activity which is equivalent to walking 128,000 miles."
