Layups, hot cross buns and working late
It's ten weeks into the 100 Day Challenge and something must be working because Bermudian and Royal Gazette columnist, Jennifer Hume turned down hot cross buns on Good Friday. That and an increase in exercise from basketball to trekking along Horseshoe Bay, Jennifer is off to a good start for the last part of her 100 Days.

Basketball was a real workout tonight. Only two of us showed up and although the session was slightly shorter than usual, we did a lot more moving around. When there are more of us we spend a fair bit of time waiting for our turn to try out new skills but tonight, with only two of us, there was no waiting around. I finally got to learn how to do a lay-up which was pretty cool although I think half the time I took off on the wrong foot! Speaking of feet, my heel, after being really sore yesterday, is completely fine today. It probably won't bother me now for another six months. It's totally random.

We went to Horseshoe Bay today — my first time ever going there on Good Friday. It actually amounted to being a pretty good workout. We ended up parking near the Southampton Princess and walking to the beach so between that and the time spent dodging rogue kites there wasn't much standing around happening! After that we headed up to Dockyard for some lunch and some strolling around. I didn't eat a single hot cross bun today although I'm not sure if I should admit that because I think it might be illegal to not eat one on Good Friday in Bermuda!

I didn't make it to Marathon Melissa's tonight. I worked late instead. I replaced my power walk with another hour sitting on my butt in front of the computer. Shame on me…

Do you ever have days where you are just starving all day? Today was definitely a bottomless pit day for me — a completely lost cause in the food department. I tried drinking a ton of water to convince my stomach that it was full but it wasn't falling for it. This plus missing my session with Melissa does not make for a good start to the week.

I was assured today that Scout is looking trimmer despite what the (apparently dodgy) scale might say!
